Pasta {Quinoa} Picnic, Round II

Yesterday afternoon I cooked up another picnic pasta mixture (Round 1 was here) with some leftovers and random throw-ins. Sometimes the result of these kitchen actions leaves me a little skeptical for our dining experience.

As it turned out, we created a ~3 mile hike up the Flatirons that created a hunger anything would have satisfied.

At one point it seemed like our legs were lunging upward for an entire mile. Not stepping, lunging. This is just as taxing on the way down; luckily all three of us (camera included) made it out alive, with pictures to prove it:

Always worth the view from the top…

…that distracts me while I climb around.

Whew, deep breath…let’s head down to that food!
